I have a confession. I am a recovering dessert junkie, chocolate addict to the core!! Yes, I used to hide candy bars in my closet as a child! I always wonder how I made it through the first 25 years of my life eating this way. I was your standard frappacino/bagel, ice cream, on the go eater. I have slowly changed the way I eat over the last few years and I can't believe I was functioning with all of the junk I eating.
When you make the switch you will feel amazing both physically and emotionally!
My second confession, I love to cook and bake. In the past I would make stuffed shells, pies, and cookies galore. Everything tasted amazing, but I would always experience energy crashes throughout my day. That is why I started to change what I was putting into my body for nutrition. For this change I owe a thank you to my dear friend, chiropractor, and nutrition expert. Starting 4 years ago I slowly began my new journey of cooking (nice).
I didn't want to give up good flavor for nutrition because that is what everyone thinks happens. The truth is, you can cook food that tastes just as good if not better!!!
I am a pediatric occuaptional therapist and I work with numerous children with Autism. I began to educate families on the importance of good nutrition. As my clients adopted this way of eating for their family, the changes in these children were and continue to be remarkable.
Fast forward to now, and after making my cheesecakes and brownies numerous times by request and giving them away to friends at Crossfit and work....Naughty Turned Nice Sweets & Treats was born.
I have a small menu that I have gradully built over the last few years and I will continue to build according to what my customers requests.
I want everyone to enjoy their desserts as guiltless as possible :)
I want to use this blog as an opportunity to share and encourage others to treat themselves to health through food.
Make your food choices "Nice" & Bon Appetit!
